We leave Grassington car park (toilets cost 20p) and head for Linton Falls, crossing the river Wharfe. We head for Threshfield via field paths; leaving Threshfield we head for Skirethorns. Leaving the minor road behind we then head for Wood Nook, passing through the caravan site to Height Lathe and on to cross the minor road of Malham Moor Lane. We then head roughly North to meet Mastiles Lane, turning right we follow this track to Kilnsey (pub/lunch stop). From Kilnsey we follow the road to Scar Lath and then a field path to Conistone Bridge crossing back over the Wharfe and into Conistone village. Leaving Conistone via a quiet lane (hopefully) to White Nook bridge leaving the road at this point. We cut the corner to the edge of Grass Wood again meeting the road; a short walk along this road a path leads us down to the river Wharfe which we follow back to Grassington.
Dave’s walk
Ann is also leading a 5-mile easy walk; field, woodland and riverside through Bastow and Grass wood, then Wharfe back to Grassington.
